James Hardie Siding & Anlin Window Installation in Mountain View, CA 94043
The exterior of this Mountain View home now reads as one clean, continuous wall plane, with crisp Hardie lap siding wrapping the house and trim that frames every opening the same way. Where an old fence gate once tied into the wall, there used to be a visible 4x4 post and a patchwork of siding around it; that section is gone, replaced and blended in so the wall finally looks finished from the ground up. Heavy decorative wood in the eaves, the shutters, and the back patio cover were also removed, which simplified the lines and let the new siding and color do the talking.
We installed James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding from the Statement Collection across the whole house in a Monterey Taupe finish, with Aged Pewter on the 5/4x4 window and door trim and 5/4x6 trim on the garage opening and corners. After tearing off the existing trim around all doors, windows, and corners, our crew inspected the wall framing for dry rot and made repairs where decay was found before any new material went up. The eaves, fascia, and foundation were painted along 195 linear feet of the home's perimeter, and we added gutter screens to the new gutters to keep them clear.
To wrap up, downspouts and house numbers that came off for the siding work went back in place, and all demolition debris was hauled away so the property was left clean.
