James Hardie Lap Plank Siding in Petaluma, CA 94954
The exterior of this Petaluma home went from worn, dated siding to a crisp finish in Gray Slate the day we wrapped up. Pulling the old cladding gave us a clear look at the wall framing, where we prepped and reinforced the sections before any new material went up. With the structure sound again, the whole house reads cleaner and tighter, and the Arctic White trim sharpens every window and corner.
We re-clad the entire house in James Hardie ColorPlus Lap Siding from the Statement Collection in Gray Slate, paired with 5/4-by-4 ColorPlus trim in Arctic White around openings and corners. Before the planks went on, our crew installed HardieWrap weather barrier across the walls, Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at every window and door, and metal z-flashing to keep moisture out for the long haul. We also swapped in fourteen Anlin Catalina new-construction vinyl windows with the Infinit-e three-layer Low-E glass and argon fill for better year-round efficiency, then painted the eaves, fascia, and foundation to tie the look together.
The front gable above the garage was finished to the homeowner's preference, and we reinstalled the downspouts and house numbers once the siding was complete.
