James Hardie V Groove Artisan Siding Installation in San Jose, CA 95125
Every course of this San Jose home's new siding went up with close attention to alignment and tight, clean joints - the kind of careful work that shows most on a profile with crisp vertical lines. We stripped the home down to a fresh start, removing the old siding along with every trim around the doors, windows, and corners before rebuilding the wall assembly from the sheathing out. The finished exterior reads as a sharp, well-detailed update that holds up to the weather as well as it looks.
The walls are clad in James Hardie Artisan V Groove siding from the Prime Collection, custom-painted to the color the homeowner chose. Before any board went on, our crew wrapped the structure in HardieWrap weather barrier, sealed all window and door openings with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing, and ran metal Z-flashing where it was needed to shed water at horizontal transitions. The Artisan profile carries a thicker, more architectural shadow line than standard lap siding, and its Class A fire rating and 30-year non-prorated manufacturer warranty made it a solid fit for this house. Downspouts and house numbers were reinstalled once the siding was complete, and the site was cleared of all demolition debris.
