GVD was top notch all the way! They gave me the personalized attention bigger companies lack, and answered all of my (many) questions clearly. Gary the salesperson sold me on GVD, and everything he said was true! Danielle the designer took my fledgling ideas and made very useful suggestions and improvements. Max, the project manager, gave me regular updates, and the project was completed faster than I expected. The fabricator did a nice job with the stone.Sergei, Bogden, and the many other crew members and contractors showed up on time, and were pleasant, professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend this company! Patrick was surprisingly incredibly genuine when he came out to give me an estimate. He was 100% honest with me when he told me that their company wouldn’t be the lowest or the highest in price range, that they would most likely be somewhere in the middle. He brought samples for me to look at along with photos of some recently completed siding projects. The time and attention that Patrick took to spend with me just solidified my decision to go with his company. I wanted to be very thorough so I did get multiple estimates even after meeting with Patrick and honestly, GVD's bid blew all of the others out of the water. Not necessarily in price because he was 100% correct, it was in fact right in the middle of all of the other bids I had received. However, I had been getting more and more anxious about the work I wanted done and the time I wanted it done in but the way Patrick just kind of stopped in and laid everything out for me just put me at ease and even got me excited about it again. Also, Even though all the companies had their name on the estimates, I really liked that Patrick also actually handed me his business card as well, which none of the other company representatives had even bothered to. It just kind of made me trust him even more. I'm not really even sure why, but it was awesome. ANYWHO- I also wanted to mention how incredibly respectful and courteous every single person that was on his crew was during the entire project. It was a huge relief to not have to worry about any issues with them while they were on my property, especially when it comes to any issues with my neighbors, whicih there were no issues there either. My new siding, windows, and gutters look absolutely fantastic! I am 100% ecstatic! Thank you GVD!!!

We were looking for a siding replacement contractor who did dry rot repair. The moment we met Nik, we knew we’d found the right person. From start to finish, GVD handled the entire repair with real professionalism and a steady focus on doing things the right way. We wanted the damaged areas restored properly, not patched, and what they delivered was far better than we expected. I’ll be honest, yes, you can find cheaper quotes out there. But when you’re dealing with the structure of your home and the long term health of the wood, you really do get what you pay for. The work was solid and absolutely worth what we paid. GVD Renovations did an awesome job replacing our old wood siding with beautiful James Hardie plank siding. The job was finished on time and on budget. The crew is so experienced working with this product, they finished a three week job in 8 days. They left the worksite clean and secure every night, and after the job was finished they came back to correct some small punch list items at no charge. Although most of the crew speaks limited English, the guys were always pleasant and comments the supervisors was never a problem.

Fantastic experience at each stage of the project with GVD Renovations. Replaced all siding with James Hardie Board. Project was on schedule and completed with expertise. Patrick with sales was a pleasure to work with and the reason we selected GVD. Entire project was turn-key with painting eaves, foundation and downspouts/gutters all included in the price (where other companies charged extra). Crew came daily to the Bay Area from Roseville and arrived early and worked late each day. Entire project took just over 2.5 weeks when other companies estimated four weeks. Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve things that came up quickly was very appreciative. A list of references was provided along with the bid upfront. Each client we spoke with shared how great things turned out and would absolutely work with GVD again. As the building inspector said on final sign-off, "This is the nicest siding job I've ever seen". We plan to work with GVD again on future home renovations.

After doing some research on siding companies I decided to give GVD Renovations a call. I left them a message and they quickly gave me a call back. They asked me what was the best time to have a sales rep come out to look at the job and give us an estimate. We agreed on a date and time which was within a couple of days from me calling. The day of the estimate Gary McAlister came out and was on time and very professional. We walked around the project together with him pointing out what they could do for us. Gary was very easy to talk to. Within less than 24 hours Gary had a full estimate prepared for us to review. I would not hesitate to call GVD for an estimate for your project.

GVD Renovations replaced T1-11 siding and two windows on our 47 year-old house in Davis, California early in June of 2024. We have always liked the look of this natural wood siding. GVD listened to us during the estimate and siting visits and provided excellent advice regarding our project. The quality of their work and selection of materials was first-rate. I will say that these guys know how to do T1-11 siding! The two Anlin windows they installed on the west wall are great and don't get hot during our 105-degree afternoons. GVD worked well with the city building department and coordinated their work with the HVAC contractor we scheduled to work on-site at the same time. The crew was friendly, worked hard and cleaned up after each day. Painting and general attention to detail was first-class, too. We received bids from five contractors for this job and GVD was one of the most competitive. Now, nearly two months after the job we are very happy that we picked GVD Renovations. The guys were very nice and they worked hard everyday from dawn till dusk. There were a few days they even worked by flashlight when it got dark. I am giving GVD a five star review only because that is the max you can give. I have built a house from scratch and done several other major renovations (kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom addition). In all those projects there was something that didn't go right or I just wasn't happy with the results. With this siding project there was not a single issue and I couldn't be happier with the results. Communication was spot on. Nick answered my texts almost immediately. I can't say enough about the crew. Such nice guys and they had such attention to detail. They did above and beyond what we expected. I feel that we definitely got our money's worth. Added bonus, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, so no living in construction debris. They also did the work so fast. My last project was supposed to take six weeks and it took five months. GVD did this project right on schedule. If you have a large project I would emphatically recommend them and will use them again.

Although they weren’t the cheapest bid that we got, we are extremely happy with the work they did and really have no complaints. I got five bids to replace all the siding on my house. All contractors recommended Hardyboard siding, but GVD was the only company that had the Hardy specifications and procedures, and guaranteed to follow the Hardy specifications exactly. GVD was not the very lowest bid, but they seemed to understand the job requirements best.
A crew of four showed up. They walked around with me to verify exactly what work was to be done, what fixtures and trim to replace and what to retain the old stuff. They went straight to work like a well-oiled machine, pulling off the old siding and checking for underlying damage. If there was any question, they asked specifically "what do you want us to do about this?" I was never in doubt that the crew was on top of the job. A lot o flittle thingsl, like dressing up the weather station wiring or the sprinkler system wiring, just got done neatly without any problems.
The finished job is neat, just like the picture books. There were no unexplained delays, like the crew not showing up or leaving half-way through the day for another job. When they were done, they cleaned up all the small debris (nails, staples, scraps of old siding) pretty well.

We selected GVD Renovations after evaluating five other proposals. Their reputation, reviews, and James Hardie siding expertise along with competitive pricing were the deciding factors. Our project included removal of the old siding and demo of an old rotted deck. The installation of James Hardie Artisan V groove siding, El Dorado stacked stone veneer, and painting the siding, gutters, and downspouts. The siding and painting teams worked hard every day with attention to detail. They communicated any questions or concerns as needed. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the end result. I had several bids on siding and a window enlargement and GVD renovations was the most professional and detailed in their negotiations. I have had several contractors at my house over the years and I will say that GVD renovations did the highest quality job. The team's work was 5 star, there was such attention to detail , a superior job ethic. I am so happy how everything turned out, I highly recommend them. Only small detail may be a language barrier, I did not ask enough questions regarding each line item prior to signing the contract, so there was a couple of issues.

My wife and I contracted with GVD to replace all the windows and sliding doors in our house and also to replace most of our existing exterior wood siding and paint the entire outside of the house. They finished the project a few days ago. Every GVD employee was prompt, courteous and professional, including the original estimator, the project director, the payment department, and most importantly, all the on-site workers. They listened to what my wife and I had to say and made every attempt to address every mid-stream concern. They also brought new questions of their own to our attention as they progressed on the project.
The old siding was removed in one day. The new siding was precision-cut and installed quickly. The painting also was quick. The attention-to-detail in everything, including the trim painting was incredibly precise. The Anlin windows and exterior Hardie trim are excellent products. The crew applied extensive high-quality caulking in every possible location. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every work day and always maintained a safe work site.
As far as I can tell, their prices are competitive, but it's hard to imagine a better value in terms of quality of materials and labor. Our house is a very modest split-level with little inherent architectural interest. But the quality of the Anlin windows and GVD's work transformed its curb appeal. We were a small job, but they treated us like a big customer.

I'm truly amazed and couldn't be happier with our decision to move forward on a rather daunting project involving siding, sheathing, insulation, sealing, and painting. The prospect of taking on such a massive task was intimidating, to say the least. We solicited bids from a variety of contractors, and each experience varied significantly. However, it was Patrick who won us over during our first meeting. His straightforward approach—outlining what will be done, why they do it, and how they would go about it—was both refreshing and comforting. This led us to choose GVD, despite the estimate being higher than some others. Nick, the project manager, was a joy to work with. He was prompt in his communication and never made us feel like an inconvenience. He seemed genuinely committed to ensuring the project’s success, satisfying us as customers, and sticking to the original contract and estimate. What really stood out was the efficiency and professionalism of the work crew. They completed the project days ahead of schedule and were polite, fast, and meticulous in their work. Their level of skill far exceeded what had been described to us, and watching them work so swiftly and efficiently was genuinely impressive. We initially considered a lower-priced contractor who promised cost savings if we took on some tasks ourselves. Unfortunately, that only led to wasted time and additional expenses. GVD gave us honest, straightforward answers from the get-go, saving us from any regret. In conclusion, choosing GVD was a fantastic experience and well worth it. If I had to do it all over again, they would be my first choice without a doubt.

Wow. Just, wow. Absolutely so happy. We didn't want to take on such a large project at this time but we needed to. It was intimidating. Siding, sheathing, insulation, sealing and painting is a big project. We took a dozen bids, and each interaction was wildly different. Patrick sealed the deal during our initial meeting. "This is what we will do, this is why we do what we do and this is how we will do it." It was refreshing and reassuring. This interaction made us feel this was the right choice, even though the cost was more than some bids. Nick, the project manager communicated instantaneously when required. He didn't try to make us feel like we were a problem. You had this feeling he wanted to make sure they were going to be successful, please the customer, and adhere to their contract and initial estimate. They stayed under their project duration by days, the workers (the real pros here) were courteous, quick and clean. Those folks were undersold to say the least. (Patrick had told us they were something else.) I have watched similar projects take place at a very slow pace. That was not the case with GVD's choice of workers. It was quite impressive to watch the project unfold and be sealed back up so quickly. We almost went with a contractor that offered a lower bid, which, in the end, cost us more money due to an "if you complete a + b on your own, we won't charge you x" We tried that and had to back out of that partnership and start from scratch. GVD came in and gave me the straight answers. Had GVD been my first choice I would not have wasted my own manpower. In summary, go with GVD. It was a great experience. It was worth it.

GVD Renovations did an great job on our house. They installed new Hardie lap siding in Monterey Taupe and all new Anlin windows. The workers were diligent and professional, working hard every day even in the scorching heat. They also cleaned up the job site every day and finished the project in just over two weeks. We had some minor communication issues, but they were resolved quickly and efficiently. GVD Renovations was very organized and made the process easy for us. Our house looks amazing now!

Our siding had been recalled decades ago, but we missed the recall. We maintained it well, but always knew the time for replacement would arrive. We had three bids on our job and decided to go with GVD. The estimator was great, and he gave us a very competitive price and included extra things not offered by the other two companies. Our efforts to replace the old vinyl siding on our home started in the thick of the covid times. We decided to replace the old vinyl siding with new vinyl siding, and we started our search for someone reputable who could help make this happen. We met with several companies and received several quotes. We decided on GVD Renovations because their quote was very reasonable, they listened to us in regards to our needs and wants, and they provided professional guidance and recommendations. The vinyl siding we ordered was on back order, forever! This was due to supply chain challenges, and we were becoming discouraged, wondering if the product would ever become available. GVD Renovations sensed that we were becoming anxious, and recommended a product that was available, which gave us hope that the project would soon be completed. We are so happy with our new Hardie fiber cement siding! The product is far superior to the vinyl siding, and the additional cost was not overwhelming. The workmanship from GVD Renovations is excellent, and the finished product is beautiful! My wife wanted a little something extra at our front entry, I thought the Hardie product would have been great. GVD Renovations presented us with an option to have the entry finished with cedar boards. We decided to go with the cedar, and it is beyond beautiful! It really pops against the dark Hardie siding, we are so happy with it. Overall, GVD Renovations receives our highest review. Our home makeover is complete with their help.

We procrastinated on redoing our siding for a long time because we knew it would not be cheap or easy. Now that we've done it, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. While I was right about it not being cheap, it was very easy. GVD took care of everything! They explained things and made the sales process very easy. Choosing the right paint color from the many options was probably the hardest part. They were slightly more expensive than the other bids, but not by much. We ended up choosing them because they were SO thorough. Their contract and paperwork explained all the things that were covered and all the things they would check for including an allotment for a given square foot of dry rot repairs. Based on all that and their excellent reviews, we went with them. I am happy to report that there were no surprise expenses. The crew that came out was so nice and respectful. They work FAST! Every time I peeked out the window an entire section was done. I also really appreciate the care they took in doing the caulking and painting, as well as hiding as many wires as possible. They really care that the final product looks as great as it can look. Our house is very old and getting the new siding makes the entire house feel like a brand-new house. I couldn't be happier with it. The only bad thing that happened is I did lose an entire shelf of glasses. They bang on all the walls to ensure there is no dry rot and as our ancient house shifted, that shelf fell, and those glasses broke. No fault of GVD's, but something to be aware of - secure your things that are on the external walls. I also must add that every single person I spoke with at GVD was super nice and professional. I couldn't recommend them more.

We were looking for a siding contractor and found and hired GVD Renovations to install siding and paint the exterior of our house. The entire process was stress free: great communication, all pricing very clearly laid out and transparent, and all work performed on time and as promised. The crew that performed the work did an awesome job - I am still getting compliments from my neighbors! GVD came out to install Jamie Hardie planks in Nov 2021 and we have been very happy with the results and curb appeal. Their cost estimator came out and had recommended the planks and advised on other design choices that was truly worth the value. Their team worked for about 3 to 4 days, removing the old siding, adding the moisture barrier and then installing the planks. We were impressed with the detailing and leaving tour property clean at the end of the day. I recommend their services.

HardiPlank Siding GVD was not the lowest bidder for my project, but I chose them based on the details of the five page quote and meeting with Vlad the owner. They made no effort to take shortcuts or use cheap materials. The team of Ukrainian craftsmen worked together as an efficient and professional team. I can honestly say that I am more than pleased with the work done and the finished product! It looks like I have a new home and the Fireproof rating of HardiPlank will keep my insurance company happy. (I live in a fire zone in the Santa Cruz Mountains)

We ordered windows for our entire house and a sliding glass door from GVD Renovations. This required removing everything including the old security bars and door. We met with the salesman, Gary, and then proceeded to get financing through an affiliated company. We were approved, the windows ordered, and the installation completed in about three and a half months. The office was responsive and the team was willing to answer any questions. We are pleased with the product and the installation.

My parents were looking to have our house repainted however two painters we got quotes from said we had a lot of siding to be replaced more than they could handle. So I was looking online for siding contractors and came across GVD and that they did siding and painting so basically a one stop shop. We contacted them and Andrew came out for the initial estimate. He was very honest saying that to have the whole house, 2 story, resided would be expensive and my parents are retired and on a fixed income. He went around the house and saw that not all the siding was in bad shape and we could just have the back resided and have two windows replaced. And what was great is that they offered financing.
