James Hardie Siding, Eldorado Stone & Anlin Windows in Rocklin, CA 95765

Working across the tall walls and hard-to-reach areas of this Rocklin home, our crew took the exterior down to the studs and rebuilt it the right way. The old siding and trim were stripped off the entire property, save for the rear sunroom, and we paid close attention to every window opening, corner, and seam as the new system went up. With the home re-clad in James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding and a fresh band of stone at the base, the finished result reads crisp and durable from the street.

The siding is James Hardie's Statement Collection lap profile in Evening Blue, set off by Arctic White 5/4x4 trim around the windows and corners and 5/4x6 trim on the double garage doors. Behind the cladding we installed HardieWrap weather barrier, Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at the window and door openings, and metal z-flashing for long-term moisture protection. After tearing off the old layers, our team re-sheathed the walls in new 7/16-inch exterior-grade OSB for shear strength and passed the city's nailing inspection before any siding went on. Where we opened the walls, we found and repaired dry rot in the framing - an unforeseen condition that's always worth correcting while everything is exposed.

An Eldorado Stone apron wraps the front of the property and the entryway pillars at roughly three feet, stepping down in spots to work around windows and fixtures. Two single-hung Anlin Catalina retrofit windows on the rear left of the home brought in new vinyl units with the Infinit-e three-layer Low-E glass package. We also replaced damaged fascia with primed Hardie fascia board, swapped out aging gutters and downspouts, and painted the eaves, fascia, garage door, porch ceilings, and foundation to tie the whole exterior together.
