The homeowners came to us wanting a darker, cleaner exterior that would hold up to Petaluma's weather and stop the maintenance cycle their old siding demanded. We tore off all of the existing siding and trim down to the sheathing and hauled it away, then inspected the wall framing for hidden decay before any new material went up. Where we found dry rot, we repaired and replaced the damaged framing so the new siding had sound structure underneath it. From there we installed roughly 35 squares of James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding from the Statement Collection in Night Gray, trimmed out the openings and corners with Hardie 5/4-by-4 trim in Arctic White, and painted the eaves, fascia, garage door, and foundation to tie the whole exterior together.

Once the siding and trim were complete, we reinstalled the downspouts and house numbers that came off for the job and cleared every bit of demo debris from the site.
