James Hardie Lap & Shingle Siding and Windows Replacement in Petaluma, CA 94954

Working off scaffolding across the home's high walls, our crew took its time stripping the old siding down to the framing and rebuilding the exterior right. This Petaluma house now wears a two-texture James Hardie ColorPlus system that pairs CedarMill lap siding with shingle accents, all set off by crisp rustic-grain trim. Before any new material went up, we inspected the wall framing for dry rot and addressed hidden repairs so the new siding had a sound base to fasten to.

The main house and attached garage are clad in James Hardie CedarMill 8 1/4-inch lap siding in Night Gray, with shingle siding in Pearl Gray adding contrast on the accent areas. We ran 5/4 Hardie trim in Arctic White around windows, doors, the double garage doors, and the corners for a clean, rustic-grain look. Behind the cladding sits a full moisture-protection system: HardieWrap weather barrier across the walls, Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at every window and door opening, and metal z-flashing to shed water at the right points. New OSB sheathing was installed where needed and passed shear-wall nailing inspection, and we finished by painting the eaves, fascia, garage door, and foundation to tie the whole exterior together.
