For disclosure, I did not end up using this company for any projects (explanation below) so this review is geared towards their customer service. Mike came over and of the 3-4 contractors I had bid seemed the most thorough and honest. He looked at my attic, which others did not to, see if it was structurally sound to do what I wanted to do, and then explained to me why my project would not be the best choice for my space. One other sales rep from another company had also mentioned the limited space could be tight but still left a bid knowing it would be an awkwardly finished project. Bottom line, I really appreciated that Mike prioritized what was right to do for me over making a sale for a project that was feasible but not best practice for my space; It is a high level of integrity that is not commonly found.

Mike Blesio did a free consult and estimate for us regarding a concept project my husband and I are looking to scope out. Mike was very professional AND polite. A well balanced mix of straight shooter/business friendly. I felt comfortable around him while he was in my home for the estimate, which all females can appreciate the sentiment of. My questions were answered, mine and my husbands idea list covered very well in terms of both feasibility and I the estimate for general cost. With our level of combined questions, delivered through me, there was a lot! And Mike handled it all very well. I would absolutely recommend giving GVD a call for an estimate to see for yourself!

VERY happy with my beautifully tiled fireplace, hearth, and powder room floor as well as a couple of small misc. jobs completed, Jan. 26, 2024. “My GVD Team” did excellent work. This journey began with Renovation Specialist, Gary, who set the bar high by his prompt arrival to my house. I appreciated his guidance, expertise, and attention to detail. I also appreciated the time he spent in working with me to finalize the contract for Phase 1.
Next I met Project Manager, Alex, who also arrived promptly. Alex completed a thorough walk through of the contract. He successfully coordinated the work needed strategically working around my schedule from start to finish.
Thanks so much to both Gary and Alex for their patience, always answering my questions and finding solutions as needed.
Then came the actual work. I’m so impressed and very appreciative that my team followed the same work ethic; arrive on time, do an excellent job (and they ALL did just that) and clean up at the end of each day. Thank you to Alex, Oleg, Nick, and Ruvim, keep up the high standard of work! Thank you again to Project Manager, Alex for the attention to detail he gave during the final walk through and making mention that I could contact him with any future work needed.
Lastly, thank you Oleg! While working in my stairwell, he noticed a nail pop that he filled and painted. How thoughtful of him to go the extra mile! A nice surprise. I can’t even tell where the nail pop was. Onto Phase 2!

We recently contracted with GVD for a kitchen refresh. The salesman, Gary, was wonderful in helping us make decisions, and covering all the bases. We worked with Danielle, the in-house designer, to help refine our finish choices. Once we picked out the finishes, GVD went to work with a fast demolition, done efficiently and always cleaned up, and then crew arrived soon after to do the tiling, countertops, flooring, install appliances. We are very happy with the quality of the work, and their willingness to make sure we were happy with the finished kitchen. We would highly recommend this company!

We had a very large home remodel recently completed by GVD - Kitchen, Master Bath, and 2 guest baths. The sales and design process was excellent - great communication and they worked with us to choose the right layouts and materials. The construction process was long, but worth it and given the scope of the job completed in a very reasonable amount of time. The tile/marble work in particular is spectacular - the attention to detail and quality of workmanship has made for 4 beautiful rooms. The master bath in particular was a huge change and the kitchen is a dream, clean lines and very functional. They clearly communicated any changes to costs based on our asks so there were no surprises. all of the subcontractors made sure to confirm design details before proceeding and at times made recommendations that were better than our original plans. The GVD team handled course corrections and changes real time. We are very satisfied with the work and love our new home.

GVD remodeled our kitchen , downstairs powder room and upstairs main bathroom in our home in Granite Bay. Work was all completed in a timely manner. The skilled workers in particular were outstanding, Eugene did our shower installation work, tile floor and grout and everything turned out impeccably. Everyone was very professional and respectful. EXTREMELY pleased with the outcome and quality of the remodeling . The price was somewhat lower than the other estimates we got and they stayed within budget no surprises. A couple very minor communication issues on occasion for example they accidentally installed the wrong countertop at first in the bathroom BUT immediately accepted responsibility, and the VERY next day installed the correct countertop that we had selected . My experience this is a top notch organization. Would definitely go with GVD again for a similar project. Do make sure you fully read and understand the contract and what is included or ask any questions before signing if you are not sure as they will abide to the letter of the contract. There is nothing wrong with this and probably this should go without saying for any company you would work with .

GVD did a great job on my kitchen remodel. Their work was excellent and the whole project was made easier for me because of their in-house consultant who helped me put together a plan for the whole kitchen. She produced a 3D version of what the finished project would look like which was a great help. They use high quality cabinets and have samples of everything you need in their office. I was also able to get specialty use cabinets for my specific needs. I highly recommend them.

We used GVD for our Sun City Lincoln Hills Napa model master bath and full bath remodel project. We are very happy with the entire team at GVD. Gary our project estimator was prompt at all appointments, bid was very reasonable and complete - and responsive with questions & follow up. Ben our project manager was responsive and on top of the details but not pushy or defensive when we had a couple small details that needed attention. We were very pleased with GVD's responsiveness and flexibility when the Koehler bath fixers we provided did come with the needed trim kits. GVD bought similar to fixtures and installed them....many other contractors would have just stopped and waited for the homeowner to deal with it. And Eugene our installer was very pleasant and respectful at all times at the job site....he came and went as needed (we were not living in the home during the remodel project initially) and was highly skilled & did really nice finish work. Overall we were pleased and would highly recommend GVD for your bath remodel project. See some before & after pics attached...well done!

Replaced walkin shower with deep tub/shower combination. Process of product selection, scheduling, installation; all was seamless. Job site left spotless at end of the day and they showed up on time almost to the minute. Communication was timely, questions answered specifically and after installation service provided without question. Very professional....they do as they say and say as they do!!!

We used GVD to remodel our kitchen. The quotation and design process went smooth with a strong collection of samples to choose from. The install ended up starting and completing early which was better than expectation. Their team is efficient, conscientious and clean. Gary bid the job and took what could have been an intimidating experience to a very smooth up front initial meeting. A kitchen remodel is a scary undertaking. It's a lot of money. Are you making the right decisions? Will things look right once it all comes together? Will someone be there to help me along the way to make those right decisions? I get it. This group at GVD were AMAZING. Everyone who came into our home was an absolute craftsman. No detail too small. They took the time to consider seams in countertops and make them look flawless. Our backsplash had a tile color we didn't love from the outset and they made sure those tiles were left out and replaced with a color we preferred. We were super picky at every turn and every request was met with a timely response. They even convinced us the microwave we purchased wouldn't live up to our standard so we pivoted last minute based on their recommendations. Couldn't be happier. These guys know what they're doing. Couldn't recommend them more. I often described our old kitchen as "Season 1 of the Sopranos" and they helped us breathe a whole new life into it. 5/5 stars.

Thank you to GVD Renovations for our beautiful bathrooms! We are so happy we chose GVD to remodel our two bathrooms. Our first point of contact was our salesperson, Gary. He walked us through the process and what to expect from design through construction. He was very thorough in documenting our plans and ideas for the bathrooms. With the contract signed, we were eager and excited to get the project underway. The office staff and Danielle, our designer, were welcoming and attentive to our needs. It was fun and exciting working with Danielle to see how masterfully she took our plans and ideas and designed our lovely bathrooms. There was a delay in the start of our project due to both the pandemic and supply chain issues. We had to make a few changes due to these situations, but once work started, it progressed smoothly. We were kept informed throughout both projects. The GVD team was very professional, friendly and their craftsmanship was outstanding. We knew we were in competent and professional hands from start to finish. Everyday we enjoy and appreciate our new bathrooms.

My husband and I have heard nightmares from everyone we knew who remodeled their kitchens, etc. We had a complete kitchen remodel and wood floors installed throughout. Old carpet had to be taken out as well as some tile. We do not have one complete about GVD. They made the experience easy. Everyone was so nice and respectful and the quality of the work is outstanding. Everything got done on time and at the price we agreed upon. We cannot say enough on how happy we are. We are recommending GVD to all we speak to.

We had our kitchen remodeled. New cabinets, appliances and flooring. GVD did a terrific job. It completely changed the look and feel of our entire living area. We couldn't be happier. As with most remodels, problems crop up that were not expected and results in something having to be changed. GVD were very good at adapting and being flexible and were concerned with ensuring that we were happy with the result. The end result exceeded our expectations.

We pretty much knew the design we wanted for our master bath/shower area remodel. We also selected and purchased directly the various tiles and bathroom fixtures. We essentially needed a contractor to carry out necessary demo work to gut the existing area and then build everything anew. We met with GVD three times at their Roseville office for estimating and planning purposes. in July they committed to starting work on our time frame in September, completing work in November. (Another major remodel firm in the Sacramento area said that they could not even begin work until January, 2022 and also required that customers sign an onerous, one-sided, 39-clause contract addendum which had not been required when they carried out a full kitchen remodel for us several years before.) We are very pleased with the workmanship of GVD's installation. A major plus for us is that they are experienced in installing the Hydro-Blok shower system, which we wanted. As always with a job of this scope, being an involved customer as work proceeds helps make for a satisfactory outcome.

I was very impressed with the entire GVD team and the final product; a beautiful new kitchen. The GVD team was hard working, professional, detail-oriented, provided good communication throughout the project, and they worked extra hours in order to get my kitchen completed before Christmas. It came out great - exactly what I wanted, including a special "glitter" grout for the backsplash that I requested, which turned out to be more involved than we anticipated. LOL

I now know why renovations are expensive. The contractors work very hard and long hours. Max, the Project Manager, was really great with communication and letting me know who was coming and when. Mike was amazing with his skills; installation, electrical, plumbing. The foreman, Serg, came by to correct a minor plumbing issue (hot/cold water switched) within hours of my call. From beginning to end, I was really pleased with every single part of the project, and my new kitchen is beautiful.

The project involved replacing/relocating kitchen island plus countertops, backsplash, range hood insert, floor tile, electrical and plumbing for a high end custom home. The project went as planned cradle to grave, noteworthy and impressive considering COVID. The design team did a wonderful job rendering our future kitchen allowing us to see (not just imagine) what it will look like both aesthetically and functionally. The construction crew knew their business. Each an expert in his craft. Even the 'permit guy' was impressed saying he could not find a code they did not follow to the letter. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for my next project.

Sales Knowledge
I prefer to know upfront the deepest part of the pool before I commit, as opposed starting at the shallow end only to find the pool getting deeper one change order at a time. Mike knows his business and confident in the quality of the final result (and correctly so) and gave me the final big number up front. I really appreciated the open and honest candor on costs. He highlighted those items worth the extra cost and those that are not. Mike wanted what we wanted, a successful project we will be happy with for years to come, and now I have it.

We had been wanting to have our kitchen remodeled for 5 years. We found GVD through reviews and reached out. Mike came out and took measurements and general idea of what we were looking for. He was very detailed, professional, and gave us tips along the way. Ross came out and worked with Serge throughout to coordinate. Serge did the tear down in one day!
The length of the project was long, January initial meet to June completion but understandably, with shipping and COVID delays it was out of GVD's control. They wanted to make sure the work was done right and the materials we wanted were in. The tile work was done precisely and beautifully. The cabinets were done very fast and beautifully. The pictures don't do any justice. I'll also shout out Victoria and Danielle. Victoria was responsive when I had questions about what was next and coordinating dates/times. Danielle was great to work with - she assisted picking out colors and gave us different things to think about.
Overall, the team was great to work with and made it easy. We look forward to working with them again for future projects. I would highly recommend GVD!

We hired GVD to do a full kitchen remodel. GVD was awesome throughout the entire process! There were delays that were outside of their control due to global supply shortages and GVD communicated frequently with us and always gave us alternatives along the way. So glad we used GVD Renovations for our kitchen project. For years we had been wanting to replace the tile countertops, looking on Yelp for possible companies the positive reviews made us decide to give them a call. So glad we did, from initial contact to the final touches all of the staff were very professional, cared about our project and did a great job. The other "big positive" was they started when they said they would and got the job done as quickly as they said they would, even working on a Saturday, but always making sure the schedule worked for us. I've include a before and completed photo. Had the counter lowered to a single height on the peninsula, but left the higher counter between the kitchen and family room. They did a great job with the conversion, looks like it was always meant to be that way. Giving us now have a great work area and we can still sit at the counter, but on a normal height stool.

From start to finish everyone we worked with at GVD Renovations was professional, hardworking and a true craftsman at their jobs. We met Gary first for our shower remodel and his thorough bid process was the most professional and thorough. We had talked to other contractors but GVD always brings their "A" game. Our new shower is a dream, we love it. We also had them install french doors at our den entrance and a door between our master bed to the master bathroom. Every worker who worked on our project was a true master of their craft and very professional, they cleaned up everything and always did their best to mitigate any dust into the rest of the house. Great experience from sales to the final touches on our new shower stall. Ross was professional and a diligent project coordinator who was very responsive and kept us updated on the progress of the permitting and materials. Eugene installed the rough in and finished stall giving us clean flawless product. He was very respectful of our availability and worked around our schedule efficiently. When we had little bumps in the road it was not anything to do with the staff or the company. It was things I thought I did or didn't want. Vlad was amazing with coming up with ideas and solutions. I couldn't ask for any better foreman and troubleshooters. I had anywhere from one to five men in my home at once from the company and never once was I afraid, offended, or not comfortable with them. Alex and Ross worked together, and I had no issues at all.

We had a blip in the road to start with due to minor miscommunications on both our parts, but once we got together on that, it went amazing! Six weeks from start to finish during the holidays, so I couldn't be happier.

I am so happy with them that I am having them give me a quote for the outside of my house. They did a full kitchen gut job and renovation, and it looks fantastic — it looks elegant! I would welcome any of them into my house at any point, so that should say a lot!

Paul did a great job with the tile. Igor was efficient with the cabinetry. Serge was on top of tying up loose ends for the other guys. Gary and Ross were always responsive when I reached out to them + Ross came back and dialed in our cabinet doors so that they were all flush and level. We definitely appreciated that.

The end result turned out very nice. The upstairs master bathroom was the winner because it was exactly what we had ordered and came out as planned. Very nice and it's the highlight. The 2nd bathroom also came out very nice - although we wish we had made a lighting change in there when the electrician was here -- as it's pretty dark and doesn't show up the finished product as nicely as it could have. The kitchen end result was much more functional than before - and we do enjoy the larger island that was put in vs what was there before.

Overall, we would work with GVD again in the future - as we have other projects that we'll need done. None as extensive as the one we already undertook, so that will probably make the coordination/timing of the work scheduled a bit easier.

GVD Renovations completed a remodel of our mater bath, vanity, and flooring through the adjascent walk-in closet. These are cultivated, courteous, and professional builders. The results were beyond our expectations at a rate that was very competitive and reasonable for what we got! They even found a bit of black mold and did a great add-on deal to get that out of the house and drywall replaced AS WELL as finding the source of the water leak that cvaused the mold... a bad weld on the copper plumbing during original construction. We also had individual pebble tile insatlled on the soaker tub wall... this can be chalenging to install and get right, but the results were magnificent. We will be reaching out to GVD when we are ready to remodel our kitchen, and I heartily and categorically endorse this building firm for your home improvement project!

We liked the fact that GVD was willing to work with my very DIY husband to remodel our bathroom tub/shower to a ADA walk-in shower in a timely fashion. Husband did demo and some of the construction (replaced window and built pony wall). GVD took down the concrete to form drain for walk-in shower, redid plumbing, tiled shower enclosure and bathroom floor, installed drywall, installed grab bars, and installed glass on top of pony wall. Husband painted, installed toilet, and replaced fixtures. If you have very specific design ideas make sure they are all in the contract before signing. We have never hired a contractor before, and details are important. GVD owner worked with us to mutual satisfaction. Best designer/tile man/worker ever is Slovic! We give him 10 stars for his professional ability, courteousness, and invaluable design suggestions to make our remodel a gorgeous, functional bathroom.

I’ve had the dream of having a beautiful kitchen after I moved into our new home, so picking the right company to help with the process of renovating my kitchen was very important to me. After going through many recommendations and estimations and speaking to many different companies, I finally set my mind on GVD Renovations. Their company had me sold with their professionalism and their kindness. They were located in Roseville, and my home is in Auburn so that was great that they are a local contractor. All the people I spoke to and dealt with before signing a contract really made me decide to work with them. I’m a perfectionist, and I wanted my whole kitchen redone. By whole kitchen, I mean counter tops, tiles, flooring, cabinets, back-splash and even some electrical work, too. The space of my kitchen is wide, but the way it was originally built was not efficient at all. Now that they are done with the work in my kitchen, I couldn’t be more happy to say that I finally have the kitchen of my dreams. We encountered a few bumps along the road and there were a couple set backs regarding the finish date of the project, but they were just so kind and diligent that truly, none of those things mattered at all. Was competed very timely even with delays from the Building Dept. The contract price was what we paid. Had some minor unexpected work needed that was over and above, yet, was not asked to pay more than the agreed upon price. The job site was always kept clean and we felt very comfortable leaving them access to the house as we were gone on vacation. We feel like this project has made our bathroom more functional and has added value to our home!

The fact that they are active members of multiple contractor associations and have an extensive history of positive feedback was a major factor in deciding to sign the same day as well. We planned for 1-2 weeks of work as we decided to permit the wall addition. Very soon after Vlad was at our house on the weekend drawing up the designs for the permit. We then were able to expedite the build and started Monday February 17th. Alex and Peter were the contractors working on our home. They were amazingly polite, they involved my wife and I in the build process, they closed off the room to keep our house clean, covered pictures, covered laminate, and were extremely efficient. Of note, I have three small daughters and one with Autism who has lots of noise sensory problems. Alex and Peter were conscientious of my daughters needs and would give me a heads up when the were preparing to make lots of noise. They worked throughout the week and then finished the clean up to coincide with the final permit inspection on the following Monday. One more thing of note is that as the inspectors were touring their work they made time to mention how impressed they were with the frame job.
