GVD was top notch all the way! They gave me the personalized attention bigger companies lack, and answered all of my (many) questions clearly. Gary the salesperson sold me on GVD, and everything he said was true! Danielle the designer took my fledgling ideas and made very useful suggestions and improvements. Max, the project manager, gave me regular updates, and the project was completed faster than I expected. The fabricator did a nice job with the stone.Sergei, Bogden, and the many other crew members and contractors showed up on time, and were pleasant, professional and trustworthy. Max explained the charges and payment was easy. Highly recommended.

Our kitchen, like our home more generally, dates to the late 1940s. Our cabinets were beginning to fall apart. Our vinyl flooring was at the end of its useful life. The countertops were simply outdated. The layout of the kitchen was neither pleasing to look at nor efficient to use. We did our due diligence, getting visits and quotes from six different construction renovation firms. We chose GVD Renovations based on their first visit, in which they provided us with how the kitchen could be renovated and modernized. I really don't need to say more than we now have our dream kitchen (very lived in with just baked bread on the counter and puppy waiting to go for a treat. We highly recommend GVD. They were great, professionals from start to finish. WOW!

We went with GVD for our the kitchen remodel… I was working from home so I kept an eye on the demo... to their credit they actually put up zip-walls to keep the dust out of the living area. The cabinet install is usually where things go south... but I made sure they were intact and in perfect condition upon arrival. - SUGGESTION - Let them handle the material ordering. I tried to source my own sink and it held things up. WARNING - They are a bit pricey. You aren't getting a bargain deal if you go with gvd BUT you also aren't getting a half-finished job. I am satisfied with the work and quality. If you want it done right GVD is a safe bet.

We had an excellent experience working with GVD. A big thank you to Patrick, Vadim, Greg, Maria, and the entire crew for the outstanding work on our siding, windows, stucco repairs, and painting. The quality of workmanship was excellent, and the entire project was completed efficiently in just a little over two weeks. The team was highly professional, well organized, and communicated clearly throughout the process. The crews were punctual, respectful, and kept the job site clean every day, which we truly appreciated. We are very happy with the final results and impressed by how smoothly everything was executed from start to finish. I highly recommend this company! Patrick was surprisingly incredibly genuine when he came out to give me an estimate. He was 100% honest with me when he told me that their company wouldn’t be the lowest or the highest in price range, that they would most likely be somewhere in the middle. He brought samples for me to look at along with photos of some recently completed siding projects. The time and attention that Patrick took to spend with me just solidified my decision to go with his company. I wanted to be very thorough so I did get multiple estimates even after meeting with Patrick and honestly, GVD's bid blew all of the others out of the water. Not necessarily in price because he was 100% correct, it was in fact right in the middle of all of the other bids I had received. However, I had been getting more and more anxious about the work I wanted done and the time I wanted it done in but the way Patrick just kind of stopped in and laid everything out for me just put me at ease and even got me excited about it again. Also, Even though all the companies had their name on the estimates, I really liked that Patrick also actually handed me his business card as well, which none of the other company representatives had even bothered to. It just kind of made me trust him even more. I'm not really even sure why, but it was awesome. ANYWHO- I also wanted to mention how incredibly respectful and courteous every single person that was on his crew was during the entire project. It was a huge relief to not have to worry about any issues with them while they were on my property, especially when it comes to any issues with my neighbors, whicih there were no issues there either. My new siding, windows, and gutters look absolutely fantastic! I am 100% ecstatic! Thank you GVD!!!

GVD is also able to control schedules internally which was a huge asset! GVD did an outstanding job remodeling our guest bathroom! We converted a tub/ shower to shower only, replaced the vanity, toilet and floor. They worked with me because I purchased some of the materials toilet vanity etc. Viktor was my installer and he was great as were the project manager.

We were looking for a siding replacement contractor who did dry rot repair. The moment we met Nik, we knew we’d found the right person. From start to finish, GVD handled the entire repair with real professionalism and a steady focus on doing things the right way. We wanted the damaged areas restored properly, not patched, and what they delivered was far better than we expected. I’ll be honest, yes, you can find cheaper quotes out there. But when you’re dealing with the structure of your home and the long term health of the wood, you really do get what you pay for. The work was solid and absolutely worth what we paid. We finally decided to redo our kitchen and living area and honestly it felt like a lot at first. New floors, cabinets, countertops, backsplash… even had a wall we wanted to take down to open everything up. I didn’t even know where to start. We ended up going with GVD Renovations & Remodeling and I’m SO glad we did. Roman was awesome from day one, super patient and really helped us figure out what would look good without trying to sell us a bunch of stuff we didn’t need. Then Ross, our project manager, made sure everything actually got done and stayed on track. Every time I had a question he was right there to answer it. The crew was great too, they showed up when they said they would and actually worked hard. They cleaned up every day which I really appreciated cause I hate mess lol. Now that it’s done… man. It looks AMAZING. The new cabinets, the flooring, & the backsplash, everything just flows now. Whole place feels totally different in the best way possible. I had some siding rot and figured I might as well replace all my windows, so I called GVD. It turned out to be one of the better moves I’ve made in a while. The crew showed up on time, worked quick, and actually took the time to explain what was going on. Danielle helped me pick the cabinets, colors, and all the details. Mike checked in often and made sure everything stayed on track. The new cabinets & Quartz Countertops look great. I was really impressed with GVD. All of contractors were very professional and their workmanship was wonderful. They were not 'inexpensive'....but you truly get what you pay for. The workers always showed up when they said they would and any delays were either due to my not being available or due to the inspectors being scheduled and changes they insisted on making to bring my 1961 house up to code.

Had the company come and give us a bid for some renovation. Mike came and was on time and super helpful and was just so trustworthy. We gave him a budget and through out the visit he always mentioned how some items would be within that budget or not. We met with him at the store about a week later and walked through the whole plan of the renovation and showed us all the products we can pick from and even more if we needed. What a great experience. Usually when you reach out to some of these companies they barely call you back or never give a bid unless you cal them over and over…

For disclosure, I did not end up using this company for any projects (explanation below) so this review is geared towards their customer service. Mike came over and of the 3-4 contractors I had bid seemed the most thorough and honest. He looked at my attic, which others did not to, see if it was structurally sound to do what I wanted to do, and then explained to me why my project would not be the best choice for my space. One other sales rep from another company had also mentioned the limited space could be tight but still left a bid knowing it would be an awkwardly finished project. Bottom line, I really appreciated that Mike prioritized what was right to do for me over making a sale for a project that was feasible but not best practice for my space; It is a high level of integrity that is not commonly found.

I have to say that I am very pleased with the kitchen remodel that they did for me. The project manager Alex Y. was very good about keeping me updated and communicating what was going to take place and when. Also the lead guy for the ones who were doing the work was also great with letting me know when he would be back. From the project manager, the lead and the crew all were very considerate and careful not to leave a mess, they all did a great job and the best part it was done sooner than I expected. Should I need another project to be done in the future I will be calling them!

GVD Renovations did an awesome job replacing our old wood siding with beautiful James Hardie plank siding. The job was finished on time and on budget. The crew is so experienced working with this product, they finished a three week job in 8 days. They left the worksite clean and secure every night, and after the job was finished they came back to correct some small punch list items at no charge. Although most of the crew speaks limited English, the guys were always pleasant and comments the supervisors was never a problem.

I hired GVD Renovations to replace existing siding on my house, along with new windows and insulation. The team did an excellent job, from start of the job through completion, including painting. Fantastic experience at each stage of the project with GVD Renovations. Replaced all siding with James Hardie Board. Project was on schedule and completed with expertise. Patrick with sales was a pleasure to work with and the reason we selected GVD. Entire project was turn-key with painting eaves, foundation and downspouts/gutters all included in the price (where other companies charged extra). Crew came daily to the Bay Area from Roseville and arrived early and worked late each day. Entire project took just over 2.5 weeks when other companies estimated four weeks. Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve things that came up quickly was very appreciative. A list of references was provided along with the bid upfront. Each client we spoke with shared how great things turned out and would absolutely work with GVD again. As the building inspector said on final sign-off, "This is the nicest siding job I've ever seen". We plan to work with GVD again on future home renovations.

After doing some research on siding companies I decided to give GVD Renovations a call. I left them a message and they quickly gave me a call back. They asked me what was the best time to have a sales rep come out to look at the job and give us an estimate. We agreed on a date and time which was within a couple of days from me calling. The day of the estimate Gary McAlister came out and was on time and very professional. We walked around the project together with him pointing out what they could do for us. Gary was very easy to talk to. Within less than 24 hours Gary had a full estimate prepared for us to review. I would not hesitate to call GVD for an estimate for your project.

Summer of 2024 we were faced with a need to have a bathtub removed and replaced with a walk in shower. Time was going to be an issue so when we started looking for a contractor, we had concerns that the project could turn into a mess with promises that could not be delivered, a half-done job or shoddy efforts, possibly creating more worries and chaos. Right from the start, with an immediate phone response to set up an appointment, Roman arrived with information and a solid and reasonable estimate. Then Alex came in to measure and within days, the demo by Eugene was done and everything ordered. As soon as the shower pan arrived, Eugene (who is a most amazing and skilled worker!) quickly constructed the panels and did the Davis upgrade required fan installation. GVD (Alex is an excellent coordinator) handled all permits and scheduling with City, another aspect that kept things running smoothly. When a problem arose with the curtain not being able to stay in pan, both Roman and Alex were attentive to the issue and worked quickly to make it right with Roman personally coming to install a water guard. What a pleasant outcome! GVD absolutely delivered on quality, workmanship, communication and timeliness. We are most appreciative of their efforts to please the customer and found them to be of good character and were glad to welcome them in the house. If we have another project, we would call them first and highly recommend them.

GVD Renovations replaced T1-11 siding and two windows on our 47 year-old house in Davis, California early in June of 2024. We have always liked the look of this natural wood siding. GVD listened to us during the estimate and siting visits and provided excellent advice regarding our project. The quality of their work and selection of materials was first-rate. I will say that these guys know how to do T1-11 siding! The two Anlin windows they installed on the west wall are great and don't get hot during our 105-degree afternoons. GVD worked well with the city building department and coordinated their work with the HVAC contractor we scheduled to work on-site at the same time. The crew was friendly, worked hard and cleaned up after each day. Painting and general attention to detail was first-class, too. We received bids from five contractors for this job and GVD was one of the most competitive. Now, nearly two months after the job we are very happy that we picked GVD Renovations. We love the way our house looks now!

I love my new shower! I had travertine, which I totally hated. GVD installed a Sentrel Shower and I absolutely love it. No more travertine or grout in the shower! To me it was a bit pricy but worth it to get rid of the travertine. I learned about Sentrel from my sister who had her bathroom redone by GVD. Would recommend.

We are in the process of getting estimates from a few different contractors. GVD Renovations was one of the first companies we contacted. Mike B. came to our house and spent almost three hours explaining everything about the kitchen remodeling process. Mike B. Is very knowledgeable and answered every question we had. We never felt rushed and the whole experience was very informative. At the end of our meeting Mike B. took measurements and scheduled a follow up meeting at the design center to go over our estimate. At our estimate review meeting Mike B. showed us some sample of cabinets, countertops, and flooring. After that he went over our estimate line by line and again answered every question we had. We have yet to make our final decision, but if we select GVD Renovations we are sure Mike B. and his team will do the job with excellence.

Mike Blesio did a free consult and estimate for us regarding a concept project my husband and I are looking to scope out. Mike was very professional AND polite. GVD was awesome to work with. Recently we did a major overhaul of our kitchen including cabinets and countertops. I am not an expert at home design and was very stressed about this aspect of a remodel, but their design team helped uschoose cabinets, colors, textures, and so on and they were able to give us a computer generated image of what my kitchen would look like with various selections. It looked exactly like the image when they finished which was fantastic. Additionally their demolition and construction teams were super timely and even early on some aspects of the project. All in all the whole process was very professional and I would use them again in a minute for future home renovation projects.

I just had GVD do James Hardie siding on my house and I’m very pleased with the job they did. It took the crew one day to remove all the old siding. The guys were very nice and they worked hard everyday from dawn till dusk. There were a few days they even worked by flashlight when it got dark. They cleaned up everyday before they left at the end of the day. The crew repaired all the wood damage behind the old siding and made it better than when it was first built. They actually made the house more structurally sound. It looks like a new house now. I’m a very satisfied customer and I highly recommend GVD Renovations 👍. I just want thank Patrick Newbold, renovation consultant, for doing a great job in getting the ball rolling on this project and also a thanks to Nick Shvaya, project manager, for doing an amazing job coordinating the job from start to finish. We have owned our 78 yr old home for 24 years and the kitchen countertops, backsplash, and sink were original. I had 3 bids to replace them and chose GVD and am very glad I did! From working with me on the materials (thanks Matthew!), the timing of the job, and my budget, they were so patient and helpful! We had a bathroom shower remodel that turned out beautiful. We are very happy with it. The workers are friendly and do great work. My only concern was GVD does not itemize out the quote or invoice, so it is difficult if there are changes to see what your being charged. The workers cleaned up, were on time when they told us and the shower is quality work.

I am giving GVD a five star review only because that is the max you can give. I have built a house from scratch and done several other major renovations (kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom addition). In all those projects there was something that didn't go right or I just wasn't happy with the results. With this siding project there was not a single issue and I couldn't be happier with the results. Communication was spot on. Nick answered my texts almost immediately. I can't say enough about the crew. Such nice guys and they had such attention to detail. They did above and beyond what we expected. I feel that we definitely got our money's worth. Added bonus, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, so no living in construction debris. They also did the work so fast. My last project was supposed to take six weeks and it took five months. GVD did this project right on schedule. If you have a large project I would emphatically recommend them and will use them again.

We hired GVD to replace the siding on our house, install new flashing around our windows and doors, and a few other small home repairs. Although they weren’t the cheapest bid that we got, we are extremely happy with the work they did and really have no complaints. They were quick to respond to emails, kept us up to date with scheduling, and maintained a clean and safe working environment. I would absolutely recommend them for any home renovations, especially if it involves siding replacement/installation.

The project was for new countertops and new backsplashes the cabinets were good and would remain - that raised a concern about damage to the cabinets during demolition. The job is now done, there is not a scratch on any cabinet and overall it looks stunning. I highly recommend this company.

GVD Renovations replaced new insulted sidings on my house & we are extremely happy with the work. Our old wood sidings were deteriorating & painting was not an option. GVD’s crew were wonderful & very professional. Completed the work in less time than anticipated. Although it was very expensive, we got what we paid for.
