HardiePlank Siding Replacement in Auburn, CA 95602

Aged Pewter HardiePlank lap siding gave this Auburn home a clean, durable face that holds up to the area's sun and seasonal swings. We installed the siding on the shop, pairing the gray fiber cement with Arctic White Hardie trim in a Cedar Mill texture for a crisp contrast at every edge. The result is a low-maintenance exterior that won't crack, warp, or need repainting the way wood siding does.

Before any new material went up, our crew tore off the old siding down to the sheathing and inspected the walls. Where we found dry rot, we cut it out and replaced it with OSB plywood to restore a sound, solid surface. We then wrapped the walls in James Hardie HardieWrap weather barrier, sealed every window and door opening with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing, and ran metal z-flashing to keep water moving away from the structure. The HardiePlank lap siding went on per James Hardie specifications, finished with 5/4-by-4 trim around the openings and corners and 5/4-by-6 trim framing the double garage door. New Old Town Gray downspouts and gutter covers rounded out the work.
