James Hardie Siding Remodel in San Rafael, CA 94903

The exterior of this San Rafael home looked tired and dated under its old siding, with worn trim around every window and door. Once we stripped it back and re-clad the whole house in James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding, the look came alive - clean horizontal lines in Monterey Taupe set off by crisp Arctic White trim. What was a flat, weathered facade now reads as a sharp, well-kept home with a finish built to hold up against the North Bay climate.

Our crew tore off all of the existing siding and trim down to the framing, then inspected the wall structure and repaired the dry rot we uncovered before anything new went up. We wrapped the walls in HardieWrap weather barrier, sealed every window and door opening with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing, and added metal z-flashing for long-term moisture protection. The Statement Collection lap siding went on across the whole house, with 5/4-by-6 Hardie trim on the corners and double garage door openings and 5/4-by-4 trim around the windows and remaining doors. To finish, we power washed, caulked, and painted the eaves, fascia, and foundation, then reinstalled the downspouts and house numbers that came off during the tear-off.
