On a street in Redwood City, this home now wears a fresh coat of James Hardie lap siding in Mountain Sage, a soft green that gives the exterior a calm, settled look against its surroundings. We stripped the house down to the framing, rebuilt the wall system from the sheathing out, and set nine new windows along the way. The finished result is a tighter, cleaner facade with crisp trim lines around every opening.

The job was a whole-house re-side. After tearing off the old siding and trim, our crew inspected the wall cavities for dry rot and made the structural repairs needed before moving forward. We re-sheathed the walls with half-inch exterior plywood for shear strength and passed the city's nailing inspection, then wrapped everything in HardieWrap weather barrier with Forti-Flash flashing at the windows and doors and metal z-flashing to shed water. For glass, we installed Anlin Catalina new-construction vinyl windows with the Infinit-e package - a triple-layer Low-E coating paired with argon gas fill for year-round energy efficiency.
