James Hardie Siding, Painting & Milgard Windows in Roseville, CA 95661
Careful prep made the difference on this Roseville exterior, and our crew took its time getting the foundation right before a single board went up. We stripped the old vinyl siding off the front of the home along with all the existing trims around doors, windows, and corners, then re-sheathed the walls in new 7/16-inch exterior-grade OSB for shear strength and a sound nailing base. From there we layered in HardieWrap weather barrier, Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at every opening, and metal z-flashing so moisture has nowhere to sit. The result is a front elevation in clean Pearl Gray that reads as crisp and deliberate, right down to the trim lines.
For the siding we installed James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding from the Statement Collection in Pearl Gray across the four squares facing the street. HardieTrim in 5/4x4 wraps the openings and corners, with wider 5/4x6 trim framing the double garage door, all primed and field-painted on site to match. We ran 279 linear feet of Hardie Cedarmill soffit and finished the porch ceiling in Hardie as well. On the windows, our team set a 64-by-53 double casement and a pair of bay windows - each built with a fixed insulated-glass center flanked by operating casements - using the Milgard Trinsic Series with Low-E 366 glass and argon fill for year-round efficiency. To tie it together, we painted the stucco to match the new siding and added five new downspouts.

GVD Renovations replaced aluminum siding in front of the house and soffits around the whole house with the James Hardie fiber cement siding. They also painted the existing stucco and replaced all gutters. They also replaced 3 existing front windows. Initially, there were setbacks caused by supply chain issues with custom windows. This delayed the project. Once the project started, it was handled efficiently. The windows did not fit perfectly and the structure around the windows had to be changed. All the work was done perfectly and within the originally quoted price. We are very happy with the results. Great job!
