Set among the hillside streets of Brisbane, this home traded its aging, mixed siding for a clean run of James Hardie fiber cement in a deep blue-and-white palette. The new exterior reads crisp and current, with Boothbay Blue lap siding framed by bright white trim around every window, door, and corner. It's a sharper, more durable shell built to stand up to the coastal weather this side of the bay sees.

We stripped the existing wood, vinyl, and FRC siding down to the framing, hauled off the debris, and inspected the wall structure for dry rot, replacing any damaged sheathing with exterior-grade OSB to keep the walls sound. From there we wrapped the home in HardieWrap weather barrier, installed Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at the window and door openings, and added metal z-flashing for long-term moisture protection. The siding itself is CedarMill 8.25-inch HardiePlank from the ColorPlus Statement Collection in Boothbay Blue, finished with 5/4-by-4 Hardie trim in Arctic White rustic grain on the openings and corners. We power washed and painted the eaves to match, painted the stucco front face, and reinstalled the downspouts and house numbers once the siding was complete.
