The change here is one you notice from the curb: a Napa home that traded its tired, weathered siding for clean Arctic White fiber cement that reads bright and current. We sided the main house and the two-car garage with James Hardie's Statement Collection, laying the new panels over the existing exterior. The result is a crisp, modern wall plane with sharp trim lines around every opening.

We installed HardiePlank lap siding in Arctic White, framing the windows, doors, and corners with Hardie 5/4-by-4 ColorPlus trim and wrapping the double garage doors in 5/4-by-6 trim. Behind the siding, our crew built out a full moisture-protection system: HardieWrap weather barrier across the walls, Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at the window and door openings, and metal z-flashing where needed to shed water. We sealed the top of the bay window with a self-adhering modified bitumen roof membrane, then painted the eaves, fascia, garage door, and foundation to tie the exterior together.

As part of the prep, our team inspected the wall structure for dry rot and repaired the damaged framing we found before the new system went up - the kind of unforeseen condition you only uncover once the old material comes off.
