James Hardie Plank in the Statement Collection set the tone for this re-side in Sonoma. The original 1994 facade was clad in T-111, so our crew stripped it down to the studs and built the wall back up properly before the new fiber cement went on. With the studs exposed, we added new OSB sheathing where the old material came off and prepped the wall for a durable, weather-tight assembly.

The Hardie Plank runs at a 7-inch lap exposure in Kaki Brown, finished with Cobblestone trim for contrast at the corners and openings. Behind the siding we installed James Hardie weather barrier and Forti-Flash flashing at every window and door to keep moisture out of the new wall assembly. On the window side, we supplied and installed roughly 22 Alside Mezzo windows in white throughout the home, retained seven existing units, filled in the upstairs master window opening, and swapped out the old garden window. New LeafGuard-style gutters and downspouts complete the exterior, and we added smoke detectors in each bedroom.
