James Hardie Siding in Sacramento, CA 95842

James Hardie fiber-cement plank was the right call for this Sacramento home, holding up to the area's hot, dry summers far better than the original cladding it replaced. Our crew wrapped the exterior in 24 squares of primed HardiePlank lap siding, finished out with HardieTrim at the corners and openings for a clean, consistent edge around the house.

As part of the prep, we installed five squares of new OSB plywood sheathing where it was needed to give the new siding a solid, true substrate to fasten to. The HardiePlank and HardieTrim went on primed and ready for the homeowner's finish coat, with the existing windows left in place during the install. The result is a durable, uniform exterior that's set up to take paint cleanly.
