James Hardie Siding & Anlin Windows in Petaluma, CA 94954

The old siding on this Petaluma home came off down to the studs, and what replaced it gives the exterior a crisp, modern face it didn't have before. We swapped the tired cladding for James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding in Iron Gray, framed the openings and corners in clean Arctic White trim, and finished the job with new Anlin windows. The result is a sharp two-tone exterior that reads far more current than the house did when we started.

Our crew worked off proper staging to reach the high walls and tricky access points, then tore off the existing siding and trim. With the walls open, we inspected the framing for dry rot and made the necessary repairs before moving forward. New 1/2-inch exterior plywood sheathing went on for shear strength, followed by HardieWrap weather barrier, Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at the windows and doors, and metal z-flashing to keep moisture out of the system. The Statement Collection lap siding was installed with matching 5/4-by-4 ColorPlus trim on the openings and corners and wider 5/4-by-6 trim around the double garage door.

To pull the whole exterior together, we painted the eaves, fascia, garage door, and foundation, then reinstalled the downspouts and house numbers once the siding was up. All demo debris was hauled off and the work areas left clean.
