Full Bathroom Remodel in El Dorado Hills, CA 95762

The centerpiece of this El Dorado Hills master bath is a BainUltra THERMOMASSEUR air jet tub, set freestanding against an angled wall where an old window once sat. Our team gutted the original large bathroom down to the studs and rebuilt it as a spa-style suite, reshaping the toilet room, vanity wall, and master closet to make room for a zero-threshold steam shower, a soaking tub, and a long custom vanity. We removed a non-load-bearing section between the closet and toilet walls, framed in new walls to redefine the layout, and filled in the former window opening per the revised shower plan so the wet area reads as one clean surface.

Inside the shower, a HYDRO-BLOK waterproofing system backs a zero-threshold pan with a channel drain, an 18-inch corner bench under the angled wall, and a tiled soffit carrying two recessed cans over the shower. The walls wear Venetian Metallic Collection 24-by-24 tile in Brushed Metallic White, while FAB-CRETE Cream 12-by-24 porcelain runs across the shower floor and the bathroom floor over radiant heat. We installed a multi-fixture shower system with a rain head at the center of the soffit, a main head on the right wall, and a hand-held at the bench, all fed through mixer valves and a diverter, plus a ThermaSol steam unit on its own 220-volt line.

At the vanity, semi-custom Fieldstone cabinetry in Commerce Simply White is topped with a homeowner-provided Delicato marble slab and matching 6-inch backsplash. We added a third sconce outlet, a recessed full-length mirror location, and a floor-mount bidet toilet on relocated plumbing, then finished with epoxy grout throughout the wet areas and floor, pendant lighting, new door and base trim, and a pre-hung door for the toilet room and closet.
