Alside's Prodigy insulated vinyl siding gave this El Sobrante home a fresh, low-maintenance exterior built to handle the East Bay weather. The .046-inch panels carry built-in foam insulation that adds R-value behind every course, helping with heating and cooling bills while also cutting down outside noise. Before the new siding went up, our crew tore off the existing siding and trims down to the wall and hauled away all the demo debris. With the walls opened up, we set the stage for a tighter, better-protected exterior.

Working off high walls and hard-to-reach sections, our team wrapped the home in a new Tyvek-style weather barrier and taped every seam for moisture protection before installing the Prodigy panels and trims around all doors, windows, and corners. On the window side, we replaced five units with retrofit Alside Mezzo windows, all carrying the Low-E 366 glass coating and argon gas fill for year-round energy savings while keeping the same operation as the originals. To finish things off, we primed and painted the back and right sides of the house with a full coat of primer followed by a coat of house and trim color, blending the painted walls with the new siding. Downspouts and house numbers that came off for the siding work were reinstalled once the panels were in place.
