James Hardie Siding, Anlin Panoramic Windows & Decking in Sacramento, CA 95831
Out in the Pocket neighborhood of Sacramento, this home traded a dark, dated exterior for a crisp two-tone gray scheme that reads modern from the street. We wrapped the house in James Hardie fiber cement siding, swapped in new Anlin Panoramic windows, and replaced the deck - but the work didn't stop outside. Inside, our crew opened up the family room by removing the old railing that overlooked the space and reframing it as a finished pony wall.
The siding is Night Gray HardiePlank lap, trimmed out in Iron Gray HardieTrim boards so the two grays play off each other along the corners, windows, and fascia. New Anlin Panoramic windows brought in cleaner sightlines and better efficiency than the units they replaced. For the interior change, we framed 18 linear feet of pony wall in standard 2x4 construction, hung and taped the drywall, and textured it to match the surrounding walls as closely as possible. We also pulled the three existing support posts and set new ones in their place to carry the load cleanly.
